Wood fired with flashing slip and a chun liner glaze, and fired in reduction to 1300C, the surface carries soft tonal shifts shaped by flame and atmosphere. The gentle form and layered markings reflect Elin’s sensitivity to process and material.

  • Elin is a potter based at Kigbeare Studios on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon. Working with porcelain and stoneware, she creates functional objects shaped by wood and gas firing. Her practice explores flame marks, surface layering, and subtle hand made traces, resulting in soft forms with quiet depth and a sense of warmth and intimacy. Read our interview with her.
