ABOUT THE CRAFTER
Blue Firth is a ceramic artist based in the United Kingdom whose practice draws from folklore, myth, witchcraft, and ancestral traditions. Working primarily with hand built stoneware and ceramics, she creates objects that act as vessels for narrative, memory, and personal connection, bringing together contemporary craft with stories gathered through research, travel, and lived experience.
With a background in fine art and postgraduate studies in London, Blue's creative practice evolved through a growing interest in material making and a desire to work more closely with the hand. Clay became a way of bringing intangible ideas into physical form, allowing narratives, archetypes, and historical references to emerge through the making process.
Her work is shaped by an ongoing exploration of local legends, medieval histories, ritual practices, and the relationship between object and story. Through repetition, touch, and a deliberate engagement with the material, she creates pieces that balance function, symbolism, and imagination, inviting a deeper connection to the objects we live with.
