Tatiana Ferreira · Lisbon
Tatiana Ferreira is a Portuguese designer and founder of Pareidólia Design currently based in Lisbon. Her practice is deeply shaped by her background in architecture and her experience in a contemporary art museum, where she developed a fascination for translating structural knowledge into intimate, handcrafted objects.
Although her connection with art began in childhood watching her father paint, she fully dedicated herself to rediscovering the craft side of design by establishing her own studio in Lisbon. From her atelier, she creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that explore the plasticity of clay and the interaction between object and user. Read our interview with her.

Handmade in Lisbon by Tatiana Ferreira, this wall panel is part of the Earth Shapes collection—a limited edition of handcrafted tile panels presented by Pareidólia. Crafted in red clay, the piece explores unique composition, depth, and dimension through a rich textural expression. Inspired by the phenomenon of pareidolia, where the mind perceives meaningful forms within abstract stimuli, each panel develops its own peculiar design and visual character. The organic surfaces and rhythmic variations in the clay allow the material to take a prominent place, inviting the viewer to discover a distinct and quiet language within the work.
