Natália Otrubová · Noon · Finland

Natália Otrubová is a textile crafter based in Finland, originally from Bratislava. With a background in product and industrial design, her practice has gradually moved towards textiles, particularly weaving, where she explores the relationship between material, function, and the handmade process.

Her work centres around natural and reclaimed materials, allowing their qualities and limitations to guide the development of each piece. She creates handwoven textiles, coasters, bags, and other functional objects, often working in small quantities and with a strong consideration for material use and longevity.

Her practice is informed by traditional textile knowledge and the value of careful, dedicated labour. Through weaving, Natália explores how objects can carry knowledge between generations while offering a more thoughtful approach to making and material use.
