Anna Kesäniemi is a visual artist based in Helsinki whose practice moves between ceramics, illustration, textile design, and painting. Guided by colour, pattern, and nature inspired themes, her work explores playful compositions through a tactile and illustrative visual language.

With a background in graphic design and illustration, Anna approaches each material as a different way of making ideas visible. Her ceramic works balance precision with spontaneity, allowing glaze, texture, and form to evolve through process and experimentation. Drawing from everyday observations, architecture, nature, and moments from family life, she creates pieces that invite curiosity, attention, and a sense of lightness.

Our selection of unique ceramic butterfly reliefs reflects Anna’s interest in colour, detail, and the expressive possibilities of clay. Each glazed stoneware piece is shaped and finished by hand in her Helsinki studio, carrying a playful presence alongside the tactile traces of making.
