Summer Exhibition Featuring
Henrietta Dent’s Work
Two tapestries by London based artist Henrietta Dent are on display as part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Her practice moves between experimental tapestry, sculpture, and drawing, bringing traditional hand techniques together with raw materials and open weave forms.
At the centre of her work is a restored 1950s handloom, which she uses as a structural canvas and an extension of her body. Through weaving, Henrietta explores labour, time, and our relationship with matter, creating pieces that reflect both the physical process of making and the passage of time.
